Lucid Air Offers Fully-Loaded Upgrades, Including Massage Chair!

Lucid Motors, the newest electric luxury auto-contender, has recently revealed additional details for the Lucid Air.  The tightlipped manufacturer has occasionally tantalized the public with snippets of information, including a private event back in December, where VIPs got to see a sneak peek of the launch-edition Lucid Air.  With so much secrecy surround the luxury vehicle, Lucid decided to create a new blog series called Clear the Air to clarify any confusion among the public.

Zak Edson, Director of Marketing, has also taken a moment to “clear the air” regarding the starting price for the Lucid Air.  While speculation has suggested that the vehicle will have a starting price of over $100,000, Edson clarified that the Lucid Air will actually have a base price of $52,500 (after applicable federal tax credits for battery electric vehicles are subtracted).  It is understandable how this confusion occurred.  There are actually two Lucid Air models, the base model and the launch edition that was debuted December 2016.

The base Lucid Air is designed to surpass comparably priced BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.  From a performance standpoint, the base Lucid Air features a 240-mile range, is rear-wheel drive, and has 400 hp.  It also offers consumers futuristic niceties such as autonomous driving, double trunk space (in the rear and front), interactive touchscreens, and over-the-air software updates.  But if these are not enough for the selective consumers then fully-loaded upgrades such as a glass canopy roof, rear executive seats that recline up to 55 degrees, and 22-way power front seats with heating, ventilation, dynamic bolsters, and massage capabilities are sure to please!
