JAN. 10, 2015 – McLaren Automotive will display both ends of its product lineup when the 95th Edition of the Brussels Motor Show open its doors from January 14th until January 22nd 2017. The Sports Series and Ultimate Series will be on display at the Brussels Expo, and from January 20nd to January 22nd the most powerful and exclusive cars are shown in Hall 1 in the “Dream Cars” exhibition.

At the Motor Show, McLaren Brussels will show the McLaren 570GT: the newest and luxurious member of the Sports Series family. This car debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 and provides versatility and practicality while also delivering a supercar experience. The McLaren Sports Series family includes the 540C, 570S, and 570GT.

The McLaren 570S was the first member of the family to be launched, in April 2015, and is powered by a 570PS twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The Sports Series was designed with a focus on everyday usability but in common with every McLaren, the 570S feels equally at home on a race track. The access to the cockpit has been made easier thanks to the lower sill height of the Sports Series Monocell carbon fiber chassis and in line with its everyday purpose, it was the first McLaren with a glove box and increased storage space.

The McLaren 570GT was launched in March 2016 and uses the same power plant as the 570S but is designed for longer drives and thus, delivers increased levels of comfort thanks to a reduced steering ratio, reworked suspension, and quieter exhaust system. In addition, the car also provides 220 liters of extra storage space behind the driver and passenger, underlining its longer-distance GT character.

The McLaren P1TM GTR was, ironically, the car that McLaren didn’t intend to build. Following the positive reception to the road-going McLaren P1TM, customers requested a track-only version with levels of driver involvement and dynamics that are only possible to achieve on a circuit. The McLaren P1TM GTR was introduced at the Geneva Motorshow in 2015 and is now shown at the Brussels Motorshow in the iconic Harrods livery. This honors the famous chassis #06R McLaren F1 GTR which was placed third at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995, behind the #59 McLaren F1 GTR of Yannick Dalmas, Masanori Sekiya and JJ Lehto that won.

Stéphane Sertang, CEO of Ginion Group who manages McLaren Brussels, commented: “We are delighted to represent McLaren during Dream Cars with the McLaren 570GT and the sensational McLaren P1TM GTR in the Harrods livery. The McLaren 570GT is the most refined and luxurious model from the McLaren range and is the ideal car for the cross-continent driving that many of our customers undertake and enjoy. The McLaren P1TM GTR, on the other hand, is the pinnacle of McLaren performance and, in the Harrods livery, demonstrates the brand’s rich racing history. 2017 will be another very exciting year for us and Dream Cars is the ideal start of it!”
