McLaren’s Pebble Beach debut of the new McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept was nothing short of spectacular. Adorned in “Elite Pearl White” paint with deep gloss black finish on the wheels, side skirt, front and rear and door inserts, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept also sported full-length MSO Defined sill panels in gloss carbon fiber. However, the most impressive feature revealed was the touch-sensitive electrochromic roof; a standard 570GT glass roof with a UV-protective interlayer and electrochromic interlayer that has the ability to change five different shade (almost clear to dark tint). Continuing with the gloss carbon fiber theme, the interior of the McLaren 570GT features gloss lacquered interior components, interior door inserts and tunnel sides. A ‘By McLaren’ Saddle Tan luxury interior, integrated 12-speaker Bowers, and Wilkins Hi-Fi system completed the finishing touches.
From a performance standpoint the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept holds true to expectations with a McLaren-developed 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 M838TE engine and rear-wheel drive. 562 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque enable this supercar to catapult from 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds, 0-124mph in 9.8 seconds, and reach a top speed of 204mph. A fine-tuned suspension system with independent adaptive dampers, an electro-hydraulic steering system, and seven-speed seamless-shift transmission keep the ride smooth. Finally, the new titanium MSO Exhaust system is 30% lighter than the standard stainless steel system – and it certainly doesn’t hurt that it produces a richer and more characterful tone!
