Infiniti commenced production for their new Q60 sports coupe at their manufacturing facility in Tochigi, Japan. The manufacturing facility recently underwent a series of upgrades to meet enhanced design revisions for the new Q60. Approximately 85% of the parts used for the VR-series V6 have been redesigned to create the new “VR30” twin turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine; Infiniti’s lightest, most powerful, and most fuel-efficient V6. In addition to new parts Infiniti is rolling out their latest innovation, a unique hybrid resin trunk lid consisting of a combination of a resin skin on a steel frame.
Considered an entry model to the premium sports coupe segment, the Q60 2.0t has a 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine capable of producing 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, contrast stitched dashboard and door panels, and 8-way powered high backed bolstered sport seats are standard luxury inclusions. Additional standard features such as Bluetooth® hands-free phone system with streaming audio, LED headlights, Flexible Stop Position doors, RearView Monitor, and optional two-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations enhance the Q60 driving experience.
Keeping in line with the “highly awarded VQ-series”, the new, exclusive Q60 3.0t VR-series offers consumers two turbo-charged options: 300 horsepower in the Q60 3.0t Premium and 400 horsepower in the upcoming Q60 Red Sport 400. Each option comes standard with Infiniti’s new VR-series 3.0-liter V6 advanced twin-turbo engines, advanced 7-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC), and Q60 2.0t Premium features. “Both of the new VR-series engines have been developed to provide an ideal mix of drivability, efficiency and performance.”
With a starting price of $38,950 and plenty of standard luxury inclusions, the Infiniti Q60 sports coupe offers consumers a bang for their buck.
